More Craziness!

March 4, 2009

Update on needle in foot. We went to the podiatry today and the podiatry examined hubby's foot. "Dr. Foot" as we'll call him, yanked hubby's foot back and hubby flinched. Dr. Foot said, "If you can't handle that, I can't do anything."

Damn it, don't you remember, there's a needle in the foot?

Dr. Foot took x-rays and came back and said something along the line, "I can't do anything for you."

At this point, hubby was pissed. He grabbed his sock and shoe and started putting it on and wanted to leave.

Dr. Foot said, "Are you in a hurry to leave?"

Hubby said, "No, but you said you can't do anything!"

Dr. Foot said, "I meant to say, I can't do anything here, you have to go to the hospital where I can do the procedure there."

Hubby sat back down and listened.

Damn. First of all, why send hubby to this other place in the first place! He was right at the hospital where the procedure is to be done. Secondly, why wasn't hubby sent home with the x-rays from the ER? What waste! That's why our health insurance is so expensive, because of inefficiency!

So now we have to wait for a phone call from Dr. Foot's appointment assistance to schedule a surgery.

Dr. Foot told hubby to stay off his feet, and sent him home with a funny looking shoe to wear. That's another waste, because hubby ain't gonna wear that funny looking shoe, and as stubborn as hubby is, he is out playing pool!

Got a call this afternoon from this hospital. Hubby is scheduled for a 2:20 PM surgery. Full anesthetic and all just for a freaking pin on the bottom of his foot. Will give you updates tomorrow. If you see somebody in the hospital hand quilting, that'll be me. :)

Below is another baby quilt. Similar to my previous baby quilt. These squares are 2 inches not sewn, and 1.5 inches sewn. This is going to a couple in Oregon who recently popped out a baby boy. Finished size is approximately 38 inches x 38 inches.

Finally I finished up the fish fabric. Woo hoo! (I did put the label properly this time on the lower right hand side of the quilt).
