Below is a quilt for the couple who is expecting a baby this July. Our friend picked out the blue batik fabric, and I added the orange from my fabric stash. I love making these wonky stars, I can't seem to make enough of them. Pretty ain't it?
The quilting was once again done by a local long arm quilter, Martha Garvey. The quilting definitely makes this quilt!

The back of the quilt was used with leftover pieces from the front of the quilt, and other fabrics I had laying around. The design was very spontaneous and took as long as the front of the quilt. I carried over the star design from the front - and you'll find little stars of different sizes scattered around. I love doing the spontaneous design because I really have no idea what I am creating until the pieces are pieced.
