Quilt Show :: Quilter's Connection 2010

June 6, 2010

This past weekend, the Quilter's Connection had their 33rd Annual Quilt Show. Below are many of my favorite quilts.

(Above: Summer :: Sherry Winkelman)

(Above :: Drought 2 :: Sharon Monahan)

(Above :: Mmm, Mmm Chocolate #3 :: Jory Agate)

(Above :: Cherry Tree :: Nancy Halpern)

(Above :: High on Hubble :: Janet Popp)

(Above :: Tidepool Treasures :: Betsy Abbott)

(Above :: Woodrow :: Sarah Aubry)

(Above :: Sunlight and Shadows :: Sharon Monahan)

(Above :: Power It Off :: Q&B, Yours truly)

I had two pieces in the show, "Regal" (the orange and blue quilt) and "Meditation" (the black and white quilt) and both were available for sale. Believe it or not, both were sold. One was bought by a friend, and the other a stranger. Regal was my first quilt that I designed. Luckily my friend bought it, and I will still be able to admire it frequently. Meditation was bought by a local lady, I hope she will enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making it.

I feel happy, but at the same time sad for parting with my two favorite quilts. At the same time, it gives me more incentive to make more.

I don't think people quite understood what that symbol meant, oh well. See what people can do with fabrics?

Congrats on the sale of your crafts! Yours was very clever. :-) I also liked the tide pool quilt, of course!
