Hubby and I decided to go to Dallas, TX to visit friends who had moved there four and a half years ago.Early November, Southwest airlines was having a three day sale. We texted our friends, asked them if we could come stay with them. They said yes. We booked the flight and went. Hello Dallas!
We stayed with our friends in "Uptown", and here were the views from their apartment.
They also had three cats. Here is Kashi - a persian cat. She has the cutest face on this planet.
Our friends gave us their master bedroom even though we objected. They ended up in the den on a inflatable mattress that deflated after 2 hours. It wasn't good. She ended up on the couch and he ended up in the den on the reclining chair.
Our first stop was the Dallas Museum of Art.
Recognize that sculpture, it has some resemblance to the one I saw at the Currier Museum (see post). I just confirmed that both of these sculptures are by Mark di Suvero. Impressive.
And here is glasses by Chihuly.
Woof! Woof!
This below is an interesting piece. the blurriness is not because of the camera - it is because the artist painted it blurry.
Ah finally a quilt. The only quilt that I found in the whole museum.
This bed was interesting. It is huge. Imagine having to sleep in it.
The piece below is made of silver by Gorham Manufacturing Company based out of Rhode Island. As I was taking the picture, I noticed hubby in the mirror.
Now this piece below, hubby remarked, "What is she doing with an iPad?" She's actually putting lipstick on.
Do you see a quilt below?
And another quilt?
