Update

September 15, 2010

It's been two weeks at the new dwelling, things are feeling more like home. Boxes that will never be opened have been moved to the attic, the kitchen is fully functional, light bulbs that are dead have been replaced, the phone is finally working after 2 weeks, thanks Verizon.

The weird thing about moving to a new place are the new sights and sounds that one have to become familiar with. We have squirrels and chipmunks that we can see through our study / office. We hear things like bird chirping, squirrels running up and down the trees. I find myself looking out the window, seeing if somebody is out in the back yard. There are 5 kids in the cul-de-sac, ranging from 7 to 13 years old. The sounds when they are playing are joyful instead of the high pitch annoying whiney noise at the last place.

So what's up with the dwelling? The bathrooms need to be redone, because things were not done well. It looks like a novice had tiled the bathrooms. The contractor disappeared for two weeks with no update or communication. Finally on the 9th, the contractor's foreman showed up on the door step and asked us for a list of things that needed to be finished.

Hpefully things will get fixed and redone properly, until then, it's home sweet home.
