New quilts for the new year. These two quilts are called "It's All About Me" and "It's All About You". Hubby came up with the "It's All About Me" title, and I continued it with the other title. These quilts measures approximately 41" x 41", hand appliqued and hand quilted with red thread. This is a first with a quilt where the quilting lines are boldly displayed. I still can't make the stitches small, but am able to do even stitches.

The first one, "It's All About Me" took me approximately 3.5 audio books from start to finish. The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs, The Piano Teacher by Janice Y. K. Lee, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and part of Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. In total approximately 40 hours of work and two weeks.
I stopped counting for the second quilt, but it took me longer because my fingers were raw from quilting the first one.
In total, I did these two quilts in 26 days, a record from the 6 months it normally takes me to finish one quilt.
The colors I have chosen for this quilt is interesting. For those who have seen a few of my quilts, it's a bit different from the rest. It has a lot of white in it. I don't like white, but it was the only color I can find that would go well with the red. This white has a tint of pink in it.
"It's All About Me" started from a sketch on the computer, then translated onto fabric.
"It's All About You" was suppose to look like the image below, but I ran out of the foreground fabric, the red and decided not to do the four quarter circles. In addition, I also forgot to put the large big circle onto the fabric, oh well.

They are fabulous! Well done and I think the stitching is great.
Thanks Sarcastic Quilter!
The original design for "It's All About You" can now be called "It is About Everyone" if you ever get a chance to do it. :) Love it! Can't wait to see it in person.
Thanks Shuo,
That's a great idea - unfortunately, I did not see the red fabric at the fabric store, now I just have to junt around for that fabric.
We are in the process of hanging up the quilt, it'll be the show case pieces in the living room. :)
